Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the request and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or contact message as needed to answer it. The message remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems receive standard technical information when a page loads, including:
- Page-view dates and times
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Visited pages and time spent on them
- A referring site, when one exists
- The device IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure site use, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine that traffic information for us. A browser can block cookies, though disabling them may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Routing a search request to the selected provider
- Maintaining reliable and prompt page delivery
- Diagnosing and repairing technical problems
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not compile, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Caldwell County guidance identifies the sheriff, the 43rd Judicial Circuit, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and the MSHP Sex Offender Registry as official sources. Visitor information is not assembled into third-party records or consumer reports, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A partner’s own privacy policy applies to information entered there, including its retention and disclosure choices. Review that policy before running a search because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Caldwell County offices, Missouri court and agency portals, legal resources, or outside tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Advertising networks serving ads on the pages
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Standard safeguards protect the information we collect. No internet system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. We will delete such information after receiving a valid notice.
Your Data Rights
The Missouri Sunshine Law governs access to public government records, while Section 43.506 RSMo addresses criminal-history reporting to the state repository. Those laws do not turn this private site into a government records custodian. Subject to other law that applies where you live, you can:
- Request access to information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Object to certain processing when a right applies
- Request deletion where the law permits it
